The custom of welcoming the Gods of Wealth on the fifth day of the first lunar month is an important tradition during the Chinese Spring Festival. The Gods of Wealth are deities in Daoism believed to bring wealth and good fortune. On the fifth day of the first lunar month, people prepare offerings such as fruits, candies, pastries, etc., and place them on household altars or in the Daoist Temple. They then light incense and candles, devoutly praying for the Gods of Wealth to descend and bless their families or businesses with prosperity and abundant wealth.

In addition, people also visit relatives and friends on this day, exchanging New Year greetings and wishing each other a happy and prosperous new year. Some businesses or companies may also hold celebratory events on this day to attract customers and boost business prosperity.

Overall, the custom of welcoming the God of Wealth on the fifth day of the first lunar month is an important traditional activity in Chinese culture, reflecting people's hopes and prayers for a better life in the new year.
